Sadie Amara Calvano, an American actress who is most well-known for her role as Violet Plunkett on the CBS sitcom "Mom" she has been gaining lots of attention. An California native, Calvano was initially interested in gymnastics competition. However, she later decided to pursue an acting career. Her screen debut was in the 2010 episode of CBS's 'NCIS'. She made her big-screen debut within a year with the biographical "J Edgar". In the ensuing years, she has made herself known as one of the most promising young actresses within the field today. In 2011, she was awarded a Young Artist Award nomination for the Best Actress on a TV Series and Guest Actress 11-15. In 2013, her role as a special guest on Disney XD's comedy "Kickin' It' was nominated yet again for the Young Artist Award. Calvano had a significant role in "Mom", the series' first three season in addition to making several cameos in Season 4. She was awarded the Gracie Allen Award in 2015 for Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star, thanks to her role in 'Mom'.
